Pleasurable Vibrations...
review
You haven't done Edinburgh if you haven't done Vibe... James Longworth's infamous weekly institution attracts gays from every corner of the world. Even the Glaswegians put on a brave face and travel the distance to get what is possibly the most fun night out in Scotland.
Two packed floors going absolutely crazy to a real mash-up of party tunes. It really is hit after hit as DJ and promoter James Longworth and his crew keep the dancefloor bouncing. Upstairs the music is purely pop classics, with James occasionally donning a pair of Elvis style shades and dropping some soundtracks and shamelessly cheesy material. However such material is cleverly played often following some sharp chart choices much to the delight and amusement of the crowd.
Meanwhile the basement offers a more urban soundtrack which flickers from slushy R'N'B to more Krunker beats. It seems to prove very popular with the lesbians and the darkened seating areas offers a little privacy for those that manage to hook up.
Together with a sheltered smoking garden, Insanely cheap drink deals and surprise cabaret acts it's no wonder the night has proved such a sucess.
