There is so much to do in Edinburgh - especially during the fringe. Endless shows, concerts and events. However sometimes it gets a little too much. The ultimate chillout escape in Edinburgh is to climb its extint volcano - Arthurs Seat.

20 minutes into the hike we soon discovered we were climbing the wrong hill! The promise of a quaint tea shop at the summit of the volcano however boosted our moral and we started our accent.

It was so difficult to prepare for the climb - it was baking hot one minute and thunderous storms the next. However some of the crew could have been more prepared and not climbed it in their stillettos!

After an hour or so of climbing dangerous barren rock we finally made it to the summit! The views were amazing and we were just ready to enjoy that cuppa tea only to find there was no tea shop! bugger!

loved it!
