What makes a girl FIERCE?

In the name of all things glamorous - sacrifice comes without question. The higher the heel, the harder you fall. To be FIERCE is an art form sistagurl, learn it and learn it well! When it comes to being fierce there are eight simple rules that need to be abided by:

1) W.O.R.K. In the words of mother superior RuPaul, "You better work, Bitch". This is surely an integral part of what it means to be fierce. To 'work' is to have ferocious attitude, to make the most of what you've got and to own that very floor that you walk on. Every sidewalk is a catwalk so why not make that dress look a thousand pounds more expensive that it actually is just by the way you switch them hips. As Miss Tyra Banks puts it "...a beautiful girl stands before me, but is she a model, does she have what it takes to be on top?" To be on top one must WERK it like a 9 to 5, but always remember that YOU are the boss. Sashay Chante!

2) Discipline. Glamour is no easy ride, sisters. There is no such thing as a long-term quick-fix. If it sounds/looks/feels too good to be true, then it usually is. Upkeep is a bitch but Rome wasn't built in a day.

3) Know Your Niche. What may be fierce for you, may just as easily be a faux-pas for them. Why look like the queen next door when you could look better than her? Be comfortable within your own style, find your own niche and then you'll start to realise what works for you and what doesn't. Sometimes too much IS enough.

4) Weavelicious. Tina Turner, Beyonce, Tyra Banks, Christina Aguilera, Naomi Campbell, Mariah Carey, Ms Ross. It's simple. The bigger the hair, the bigger the diva. The bigger the diva, THE BIGGER THE FIERCENESS! Brush it loud and brush it proud!

5) Wardrobe. Just because you spend a million dollars on an ensemble it does not mean that you will look a million dollars yourself. Less can be more. A fierce wardrobe is not always an expensive one, especially if the person wearing the clothes does not know how to own the look.

6) Own It! From heel to hair-weave, own that look and own it ALL! Never let your clothes wear you. Walk through that room like Versace wouldn't melt. WERK!

7) B.I.T.C.H ...Beautiful. Intelligent. Talented. Cool. Hunny. And let everyone know it!

8) Exposure vs. Overexposure. An envelope can only open one way, so why turn up to the opening of one when you know what's gonna happen? Select your parties like you select your men. Big, impressive, but not too often. A true fierce b.i.t.c.h is never early, but never late either. She is merely fashionably delayed yet always letting someone at the party know that she is on her way. It's fierce when you do!
